Keywell is an app designed to support parents to stay in tune with how small and big changes impact their child’s behaviour. The app logs and identifies triggers and patterns of challenging behaviour, often in neurodivergent children.
Kickstand was engaged by Keywell’s founder right at the beginning of the startup’s journey. We were tasked with creating branding and an MVP for the purpose of acquiring further funding.
We began with brand workshops to establish the core values that Keywell would aspire to and then, through ideation and refinement created a playful and distinctive style.
We conducted a survey with parents of children with suspected behavioural conditions along with user testing of the design prototype. This ensured that the app was meeting the specific needs of these customers before it moved into development.
During the project, we were mindful that this product will interact with users during what might be a stressful time in their lives and aimed for a sense of calm and simplicity both in function and presentation.
“Kickstand was instrumental in helping move Keywell from an idea in my head to a working prototype that we could test with users.
Having the combined power of Sophie behind the user research and Amanda’s creative vision, we were able to move through the process in an agile manner. Thanks Kickstand!”
